C14 Full Optimising Saw & Merlin QX Scanner

Full Optimising Saw C14

Upgraded Cross-Cut System: C14 Full Optimising Saw combined with MERLIN QX, Quality Scanner for Longitudinal Transport with X-Ray. The C14 III series machinery stands out in the realm of slicing broad cross-sectional dimensions, while adeptly managing irregular or curved workpieces. These machines flaunt an exceptionally robust architecture, integrating a heavy-duty feeding mechanism that achieves remarkable acceleration levels, even when contending with exceedingly substantial timber.

Comprehensive Precision Saw: C14 Perfect Cut. Designed for slicing medium to large timber segments, the C14 guarantees meticulous and flawless cuts at impressively elevated rates of production. This resilient apparatus is constructed for prolonged durability and can be enhanced through modular upgrades, transitioning into a high-performance configuration that includes automatic flaw detection and potent handling elements. Improvements in performance benchmarks, workpiece conveyance, and material extraction have been integrated to reinforce operational velocity.

Whether you’re engaged in sawmilling, parquetry, flooring, crate manufacturing, or furniture production, an array of extensions and choices tailor the C14 to be precisely the machine that perfectly aligns with your specific needs.

Machine Features

The entry-level version C14_E saws workpieces to the desired fixed lengths. The machine does not take into account timber characteristics and quality zones.

The C14_KE version uses an additional luminescence scanner to detect crayon lines which are used by an operator to mark timber features or to select cutting lists by means of a barcode.

The C14_MKL is fitted with a separate measuring station that precisely detects workpiece length and manually marked features before the cutting process and calculates the optimum cutting result using stored cutting lists. The quality-overlapping value optimization maximizes added value and timber yield. In combination with fully automatic error detection, the C14_ SCAN offers the maximum in production and convenience.

Workpiece Data

Cutting height 2-150 mm
Opening width 40 – 400 mm
Min. workpiece length 600 mm with manual feed
Min. cut length (board end) 140 mm (180 mm)
Timber cross section see cutting diagram

Multisensor Quality Scanner Merlin QX

Through the utilization of the Multisensor Precision Scanner Merlin QX by Alpi, the dependable and precise identification of characteristics and flaws within the wood becomes achievable. This empowers the automation, simplification, and enhancement of your production processes. By harnessing the synergy of lasers, multispectral cameras, rapid-capture imagery, X-ray technology, and artificial intelligence, the most precise scanning results are achieved, leading to a significant increase in added value.
